CMS Renews Quality Measure Contract with Arbor Research
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded Arbor Research the next option year of the ESRD Quality Measure Development and Maintenance contract. Arbor Research performs this work with its partners at the University of Michigan-Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center (UM-KECC). Through this work, Arbor Research supports the development of quality benchmarks for dialysis facility performance.

Several of these quality measures are used by CMS in their ESRD quality initiatives: the ESRD Quality Incentive Program (QIP), and the annual Dialysis Facility Reports (DFRs). Activities for the upcoming year will include working with CMS on the development of new measures. We are proud to continue analytical support of these quality measures and to contribute to the improvement and quality of patient care.
