Health Policy and Practice Program Director
Dr. Pearson provides scientific and administrative leadership in the Health Policy and Practice Program of Arbor Research. He has over 18 years of experience in federally-funded health services research including the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health care delivery models, quality measures, and value-based purchasing systems. He serves in a leadership role on Arbor Research’s work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services including the Research, Measurement, Assessment, Design, and Analysis (RMADA) and the Measure and Instrument Development and Support (MIDS) contract vehicles. He has served as the Arbor Research project director for the End-Stage Renal Disease Quality Incentive Program Monitoring and Evaluation project funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services since 2016. He has substantial subject matter expertise in the economics of kidney disease and broad experience in other areas of health services research with a variety of federal sponsors. He holds a PhD in Health Services Organization and Policy from the University of Michigan with a concentration in health economics, a MS in Survey Methodology from the University of Maryland, and a BS in Statistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics Central Michigan University.
